James B. Glascock
Owner, President, Architect/Planner
It all started in 1980...
When James decided to form his first architectural firm after working for a variety of large and small architecture firms.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in
Urban Planning & Geography, and a Master's Degree in 1976 in Architecture & Planning, with an
emphasis in Design/Structures. James worked for Delamare-Woodruff Architects, Tom R. Zabriskie
Architects, and The Environmental Associates. James was also elected Mayor of the University of Utah
Village while in college.
Gaining enough experience to begin a partnership, he founded his first architectural firm, and in
1980, Glascock/McQuay Architects was formed. That partnership produced many projects under a staff of
up to 12 people. By 1985 the partnership dissolved and was reformed into the firm we have today, JAMES
B. GLASCOCK ARCHITECT P.C.
JBG-Arch is active in the community and has served positions on local boards. Our firm has also donated time and earnings to many non-profit, charitable and religious projects.
