Founded by James Glascock in 1980...

James B. Glascock Architect P.C. (JBG-Arch) goals have been to provide a full range of architectural design & planning services with expertise while meeting a client's budget and needs. We have always been a small firm that produces BIG RESULTS! By staying a smaller firm, we have offered our clients direct attention and a hands-on approach to their projects. With our approach, our clients get the consideration of the sole project architect. We are known for meeting a client's goaled budget, or usually even coming under budget.

We believe this perspective has developed over time from clients needs. We have learned that our clients past experiences of working with larger firms, has been unfavorable, where the attention needed by the client seemed lacking with the main architect of the firm. A clients project goals and input often get lost in this process. This is why we believe the success of any sized project, is a direct result of the primary architect's awareness and interest throughout all phases of the project.

We are intricately involved in overseeing all aspects of a project, starting with the initial client meeting, to setting goals and project parameters, design, contract administration, to the completion of the construction. This is a positive benefit towards the success of our client's projects. We establish a clear understanding of our clients needs and budget first. We also design for their project, as if every dollar spent were our own. Our firm has maintained an office in Salt Lake City since 1980. A second office made an addition to JBG-Arch in 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona. We have successfully completed a variety of projects in the Western United States ranging from design-build projects, schools, churches, restaurants, offices, tenant improvements, sports facilities, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, single family residences, multiple family apartment buildings and condominiums, and many more.

We have acted as a consultant to the Cities of Holladay, Centerville and South Salt Lake City, as well as, for Mayors, City Councils, Re-Development Agencies, Planning and Building Departments. We also served as an Owner's Representative for the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City and Sam Skaggs for the Skaggs Catholic Center, located in Draper, Utah.
